Winnie the Pooh once told Piglet, "If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you". And now, it seems as though Brits are having the same relationship with their furry friends as Pooh did with his chums in Hundred Acre Wood.
According to new research from the hotel chain Travelodge, more than one third of all British adults still take a teddy bear to bed with them. It seems that we can’t cope with lying on our mattress alone and that one in three of us have to nod off alongside a furry companion. The survey of 6,000 British adults found that a third of us still cuddle a soft toy when falling asleep.
